Nr. 5 of Canones et echo sex vocibus, 1572. This is the second motet in Canones et echo sex vocibus that celebrates the victory in the Battle of Lepanto in 1571 (Victoria in bello navali, quo selym classis omnis funditus periit).
This time the Cantus 2 sings an ostinato with the words Si Deus pro nobis, quis contra nos? (If God is with us, who can be against us?)
